Journey To The West (Prototype)

In "Journey To The West", the players are British immigrants, whose family members are coming to the UK to go on a vacation. However, they are not familiar with traveling inside the UK, nor the hassles that entails, so it's up to the players to pass along hard-earned wisdom to their family members.

 

Inspired by classic games like Mahjong and Big Two, Journey To The West is a cooperative game for 2 players in which they will move their family members around the map by collecting and playing sets of cards. However, without being able to communicate with each other, players will need to figure out how to coordinate movements and express the cards they need.

 

Locations come with complications for the sets you can play, and each location travelled will tick away what little time there is. You will need to help your family members travel to all the destinations in their plan before their holiday is over!

 

Journey To The West also comes with a small campaign that includes 8 scenario modules, adding new puzzles and tools to each session and telling a simple story. If you have mastered the base game, include these modules for new gameplay elements and increased difficulty!
